Mediation - joint sessions
Service Description
Mediation is an alternative to court that allows you to have the most involvement in decisions that affect your children's relationship with you. You can work out an agreement at any time during the separation process, even if you have already started court proceedings. The initial meeting with each party is complementary and will determine if conflict resolution is a good fit for your situation. Once you decide on the terms of your separation and/or parenting plan, we recommend each party have a lawyer review the agreement. Once both parties sign the agreement, we can file it with the court registry just like an order made in court. Each party pays $20 per hour for joint sessions. Income based subsidy may be available.
